What are your terms of payment?

Payment must be settled within 60 days from the day on which we receive a complete set of documents. Individual deadlines may be, however, negotiated.

What types of goods do we forward?

We arrange for the less-than-truckload or full truckload transport of standard and ADR goods. At the customer’s special request, we will also arrange for transport by refrigerated trucks. Detailed information available under Our Offer and Fleet tabs.

What is OCS? What does it cover?

A forwarder’s general liability insurance for a forwarding company operating in Poland and abroad. It covers a forwarder’s general liability to a contracting party and third parties for damages arising from non-performance or inadequate performance of forwarding services as set out in the forwarding agreement and in accordance with the Civil Code. This means entering into a transport agreement, preparing transport documentation, forwarding instructions, loading and unloading goods, controlling the quality and weight of goods, and storing goods, however for no longer than 30 days. Insurance may sometimes cover damage arising from cargo loss as a result of burglary, the theft of means of transport together with goods or the damage of goods during the provision of forwarding services.

What are the dimensions of a standard semi-trailer?

Standard semi-trailer dimensions: 13.6 x 2.45 x 2.75 m (meaning respectively length, width and height). Detailed information available under the Fleet tab.

What does LDM mean?

LDM means loading metres: a unit which defines how many square meters of a trailer cargo occupies.
How many space does one EUR-pallet occupies in the trailer?
One EUR-pallet of 120 x 80 cm occupies 0.4 ldm in the standard trailer.

What are the dimensions of a bus?

Standard bus dimensions: 4.2 x 2.2 x 2.3 m or 4.9 x 2.2 x 2.3 m. A bus may be used to transport 8 or 10 EUR-pallets of 120 x 80 cm respectively. Detailed information available the Fleet tab.

How many EUR-pallets may be loaded on the semi-trailer of 13.6 ldm?

Based on the simple calculation: 13.6 ldm / 0.4 ldm = 34 EUR-pallets. However, this is pure mathematics, pallets must be of right dimensions and goods may not stick out of the pallet.

How many pallets may be loaded into the bus?

The bus may be loaded with 8 or 10 pallets at the maximum, depending on bus dimensions.

What does personal protective equipment mean?

Personal protective equipment involves driver’s protective clothes that are often necessary at the loading or unloading place, e.g. in the chemical production plant. This includes, for example, helmet, vest, protective shoes, googles, and gloves.

What are standard truck accessories used to protect goods?

Standard accessories which protect goods are as follows:

  • straps (usually 12),
  • mats (to increase friction),
  • chains,
  • corner protectors.

How to check whether the goods in transit are kept at fixed temperature, as recommended?

To check whether goods transported are kept at fixed temperature, we may request a printout from the temperature recorder, i.e. a device used to measure and monitor temperature inside the refrigerated trucks.

What goods may be transported by refrigerated trucks?

Goods transported by refrigerator trucks are mainly: food, fruit, vegetables or medicines.
What is the maximum quantity of goods that may be transported by refrigerated trucks?
The maximum admissible weight of goods is 22 tonnes.

What are the dimensions of sea containers?

Sea containers may be as follows: 20gp, 40dv, 40hc or 45hc.

Does a driver need to be present during loading and unloading?

The driver’s presence during loading and unloading depends on loading/unloading rules. If a driver must not be present, this is set out in the transport documentation.

Does a warehouse have the right to refuse loading?

Depending on the type of goods, detailed requirements for a transport vehicle are defined. We use all efforts to have our vehicles adequately equipped and compliant with individual warehouses’ expectations.

May goods be transported on pallets other than EUR-pallets?

We may also transport goods on industrial pallets (120 x 100 cm). Opposite to EUR-pallets, they may not be replaced, but their carrying capacity is bigger.

What means of transport are usually used to transport loose goods?

Loose goods are usually transported by dumpers and walking floor with movable floor.

How to check where a vehicle is at a given moment?

Vehicle location may be easily checked by the use of GPS (the existing systems enable to trace a vehicle online on the map available in the Internet) or by means of a telephone contact with a driver.

How long does a driver work every day?

A driver may work 9 hours a day at the maximum.

May a driver work more than 9 hours a day?

Yes, a driver’s working time may be extended to 10 hours twice a week.
If fast transport is necessary, a vehicle may be operated by 2 drivers. Then, their working time is extended to 18 hours during 30 hours of a break.

How many kilometres does a vehicle with my cargo may go a day?

On the assumption, that the maximum speed on the motorway is 90 km/h, the car may go 650-700 km during a 9-hour working day of one driver.
